BIO
Sean Holleran is an American artist concerned with observing repositories of memory sustained by the painting process. His practice centers on a meditation between intention and materiality. Through oil paint, pigment, and wax, he replicates fields of interiority. Receptive to the lingering weight of memory, labor, and time embedded within applied artistic tooling, Holleran’s work seeks to assume the burden of the
art-making process itself.
